Though Clarissa was born and studied plant biology and agriculture in the southern United States, she has lived in Scotland for over 10 years now. Her background combines working and growing for communities with a therapeutic approach, knowing well what a benefit being outside in green spaces can provide. She hopes to bring Whitburn's community garden to the wider public with seasonal open days and events, engaging with local schools, and working alongside a team of growing volunteers who meet regularly on Mondays and Thursdays from 1-4pm. If you see her in the wild, she might be following around a cute bumblebee, inhaling choccie biscuits, or attempting to pet stranger's dogs.
