Community Development Worker

Our Community Development Worker works in partnership with Citizens Advice Bureau West Lothian (CABWL) to secure funding allowing CABWL to provide, and our organisation to facilitate, a financial adviser being based within our hub to provide welfare and benefit advice.

Support Networks

We assist service users to access important information about relevant local support networks, and, where the needs are more intricate, we signpost them to the appropriate partner agencies through information and formal pathways.

Information

Provides a free at point of delivery information and support service from a local non-clinical setting, providing support in a comfortable and familiar environment, eliminating travel costs and psychological barriers.

Our community support hub provides free welfare and benefit advice delivered by our Citizens Advice Bureau West Lothian Financial Advisor colleague

IT Support Services

Focusing on the identified needs of our community, we have been offering a local community information and support service. The service is based on an early intervention model designed to encourage local residents, particularly those who are vulnerable or experiencing financial hardship, to use advice services and IT support to benefit their individual circumstances, all delivered in an informal community setting. the service is delivered from our main street premises, 24 hours per week over 4 and 1/2 days.
