Community Support Hub

Our community signposting service is operated by a dedicated team of volunteers, currently available a few days each week. Their primary aim is to assist local residents by guiding them towards a variety of local services, organisations, or useful information that can enhance their well-being and support their needs. This initiative helps foster connections within the community, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they require to thrive.

Community Fridge/Larder

Our community fridge is filled with extra food generously provided by local stores and businesses. This initiative not only helps to significantly reduce food waste, but it also serves as a vital resource for our community, ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious meals in a respectful and inclusive manner.

Community Garden

Whitburn's community garden not only supplies fresh fruit and vegetables to our community fridge, but it also plays a crucial role in helping to develop valuable gardening skills amongst our community members. This initiative not only enriches our local food resources but also fosters a spirit of collaboration and learning, as people of all ages can come together to cultivate the garden, share knowledge, and enhance their horticultural abilities.
