Our Community Development Worker David received funding to start a Walking Football Project within Whitburn. Working in Partnership with West Lothian Youth Foundation we launched WEEKLY Walking Football Sessions at Whitburn Community Centre Thursday the 23rd of August 10.30 am to 11.30 am. Participants are welcomed to stay afterwards each week for a chat, beverages and most importantly biscuits. ALL COMPLETELY FREE❗❗
Walking football is aimed at keeping people aged 50+ or anyone who due to a lack of mobility or for other reasons are not able to play the traditional game.

‘The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is an independent charity dedicated to social and economic regeneration of coalfields communities throughout the UK. Since it was established in 1999 the Trust has awarded grants of over £230m to over 5,600 projects that have improved the quality of life in the UK’s coalfields regions.
